I'm glad you enjoyed it (I hope you enjoyed it!) I get what you're saying about Mordred and Morgana; I suppose, because Merlin was younger than them (I don't think I say it, but I anticipated Mordred being in his early to mid-twenties, Morgana not much younger, when Merlin goes to live with him at 16), their relationships with him were always a bit parental and authoritarian, rather than supportive sibling ones. Also, I suspect that they were a bit uncomfortable with Merlin's husband being so much older than him, and so weren't really sure how to handle the whole situation. I further suspect that they felt terribly guilty about leaving Merlin alone in India for four years when he clearly needed them, and wanted him to recover as quickly as possible so they could see that they'd done the right thing in the end. Does that make sense?
I'm so pleased you liked Arthur - I possibly have an inappropriate amount of love for canon Arthur, and have mentally cast him as a complete hero in everything. *sigh* I also think he's a lot more sensitive than he lets on, and I'm glad that came across here.
