I'm really glad you enjoyed it, and that it made you all heart-eyes. The midnight mass scene was my favourite in the whole story - I just had this vision of Merlin suddenly, after several months of living with Uther et al, realising that his life was "normal" again and that he was waking up on Christmas morning in a bed, warm and safe.
I felt like this incarnation of Arthur would do things like that for Merlin, because although he'd had his stern father in his life, he'd also had grown-up Gwen, who had loved him and made him a better person.
